
Course Description
We can give ourselves the ability to steer a smooth course through the wild and rough waters of everyday life. And have a very good time doing so! By practicing these meditations we can realign our mental habits. Our mind can then serve us, rather than the opposite! We are not subservient to our mind . ..no way!
In this series of meditation classes we will train our mind. using the very practical mental exercises/ meditations, presented in the book ”Eight Steps to Happiness” by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

August 31 Watching what is going on in our mind. Learning inner awareness.
September 7 Everybody has problems..like us…we need to empathize..a lot.
September 14 When some one/or thing rattles our chain…. What’s really happening?
September 21 Take defeat…offer victory… It’s a relief
September 28 Imagining we could dissolve all problems away
October 5 Actual illusory nature of all things

Teacher

Hank met Kadampa Buddhism in Los Angeles. Now living in Germany she uses these practical meditations to negotiate the new landscape of living in a foreign country. She is a student of the Teacher Training program of Tharpaland KMC and teaches in a creative and practical manner.
