Reliable Tools for Managing Emotion and Stress

How are you feeling? Positive emotions like love can be a profound source of connection and joy. Yet staying in touch with our emotions isn’t always easy. Sometimes they trap us in repetitive mental loops – patterns we know are unhelpful, yet feel impossible to break.

In this course, we’ll explore the roots of our emotions – how they serve us and how they may hold us back. You’ll learn practical methods to cultivate inner stillness and space, finding calm amidst emotional turbulence.

🌋 Skillful Ways to Deal with Challenging Emotions

Instead of avoiding or suppressing difficult feelings we’ll gently practice staying present with them. We breathe. We observe. We allow. We create space.

“Just as the sky has room for a thunderstorm,
so the vast space of our mind can hold painful feelings.
And just as a storm cannot destroy the sky,
so painful emotions cannot destroy the mind.”
— Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Solve Our Human Problems

Through this gentle awareness, our emotions begin to loosen their grip. We learn to accept them, understand their nature, and see where they come from.

🪞 Freeing Ourselves from Limiting Self-Labels

Who am I, really? Asking this question helps us see we are more than our feelings. Our mind is vast, spacious, and fundamentally peaceful.

We also notice how assumptions shape how we see others. When this lens clears, compassion and inner freedom naturally emerge.

This series is inspired by the book How to Transform your Live by Buddhist master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
