English meditation class

This drop-in class is open to everyone and includes guided meditation, a brief teaching on the topic and inspiring chanted prayers. The course is based on a fundamental text on Buddhist meditation practice entitled The New Meditation Handbook by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (available from Tharpa publications). Classes are self-contained; no previous registration necessary.

Each class takes you step-by-step through one essential Buddhist meditation practice, presenting them in a simple and practical way.

The New Meditation Handbook is a practical guide to meditation. It teaches us how to make ourselves and others happy.  We are taken on a journey into our heart, discovering and deepening our understanding and experience of the 21 traditional Lamrim meditations. Classes are taught by Buddhist monk Gen Ananda.
